During the first six months (March 21-Sept. 22) of this Iranian year (began March 21, 2019), rice imports of Iran’s Government Trading Corporation decreased, compared to the same period of last year, while butter imports increased, Trend reports via Fars news agency.
For the first six months of this Iranian year, 118,000 tons of rice worth 107 million euros were imported.
In the same period last Iranian year, a total of 151,000 tons of rice worth 137 million euros were imported.
For the first six months of this Iranian year, 383,000 tons of butter worth 246 million euros were imported.
This is while in the same period last Iranian year, 142,000 tons of butter worth 84 million euros were imported, according to the report.
