More than 82,000 tons of construction and mining materials have been exported from Iran’s Semnan province since the beginning of this Iranian year (March 21, 2019), said Ali Sadaddin, director general of the Semnan Province Customs Service, Trend reports via IRNA.

Sadaddin noted that the value of exported goods was $8.6 million.

The director general added that in comparison with the same period last year, exports increased by 21 percent in weight and by 23 percent in value.

“Despite the US sanctions against Iran, the number of countries to where the Iranian products were exported has increased from 36 to 46,” Sadaddin said.

The director general added that the value of exported products from the province increased from $500 to $860 per ton.

There are 282 companies producing construction materials in the Semnan province, the customs official said.

Sadaddin added that 106 companies in the province produce about 114 export-oriented products.
