Iran sees increase in export of products from Isfahan province

Export of products in Iran’s Isfahan province in terms of value and weight increased by 8 and 47 percent, respectively, from March 21, 2019 through 19 February, 2020, Isfahan Customs Administration's Director General Rasoul Koohestani said, Trend reports referring to the Iran Customs Administration (IRICA).

Koohestani added that the export of products from Isfahan province in monetary terms amounted to $2.4 billion, and in terms of weight - 6.7 million tons.

Meanwhile, export of non-oil products in this province amounted to 5 percent of country’s total non- oil export, he noted.

Koohestani said that over 1,170 types of non-oil products were exported from the province, adding that cast iron, iron and steel worth $1.2 billion (49 percent of province’s total export), were mainly exported products.

Export of oil products amounted to $476 million (19 percent of province’s total export), while the export of organic-chemical products amounted to $113 million or 5 percent of province’s total export.

Koohestani noted that the country exported products to 91 countries. The main countries where Isfahan province exported its products were Iraq (the amount of exported products was $598 million), China ($315 million), Afghanistan ($261 million), UAE ($197 million), and Pakistan ($148 million).
