Goycay-Sud plant, a big producer of dairy products located in Azerbaijan’s Goychay district, produced 180 tons of dairy products since early 2020, a source at the plant told Trend.
“Some 155 tons of milk were produced at the plant over the two months,” the source said. “Milk is produced in 250 gram packages. Moreover, 2.5 tons of butter and 25 tons of cheese were produced during this period.”
“Since early 2020, the plant’s sales volumes have decreased by almost 15 percent compared to 2019, so the plant does not intend to increase production volume during the next 2-3 months,” the source said.
The sales volumes of cheese decreased, according to the company. Meanwhile, the plant produced over 230 tons of cheese in 2019.
Dairy products are sold on the domestic market. The demand of the population for dairy products in Goychay is fully covered. The dairy products are also supplied to Baku and other cities of the country.
The plant operates at full capacity and has been provided with modern Swedish and Italian equipment.
The plant’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents.
