Sabirabad cannery, the Azerbaijani biggest producer of canned goods, will increase production volumes of pomegranate juice in 2020, a source in the cannery told Trend.
“The annual production volume amounted to 12 million bottles of pomegranate juice in 2019,” the source added. “The cannery plans to increase this figure up to 13 million bottles in 2020. At the same time, it is planned to supply the products to many more countries as over 90 percent of the products are exported outside the country.”
“The negotiations regarding the supply to the Central Asian countries are underway,” the source said. “Besides pomegranate juice, narsharab (pomegranate sauce) and minimal volumes of aseptic pomegranate concentrate, are also exported.”
The cannery’s products have a certificate of conformity issued by the Azerbaijani State Committee on Standardization, Metrology and Patents. The cannery has been operating since 1982.
The equipment manufactured in Italy and Moldova has been installed in the cannery.
