Exports from Iran’s North Khorasan Province soar

The exports from the North Khorasan Province (north-eastern Iran) has increased more than 2 times in terms of value and by 52.6 percent in terms of volume, during the first six months of the current Iranian year (March 21 through September 22, 2021), compared to the same period last Iranian year, Chairman of Industry, Mine and Trade Organization of South Khorasan Province Hossein Haj Beighloo told IRNA, Trend reports.

According to him, 215,000 tons of province’s own goods worth $72.4 million were exported in 6 months. The chairman added that the exported goods were mainly petrochemical products, steel products, aluminum ingots and cement.

Haj Beighloo noted that these goods have been exported to various countries, including, Afghanistan, Iraq, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Germany, China, Turkey, Ukraine and Pakistan.

The chairman also said that 11,000 tons of goods worth $21.3 million were imported to the province within 6 months. The imports decreased by 4.9 percent in terms of value, while increased by 323 percent in terms of volume, compared to the same period last Iranian year.

Haj Beighloo emphasized that imported goods were nickel, alumina powder and so on. These goods were imported from China, Russia, Sudan, Pakistan, the UAE, Germany, South Korea, India, the Netherlands, Denmark and Oman.
