BAKU, Azerbaijan, December 17

By Amina Nazarli - Trend:

Turkmenistan is in talks with PJSC Kamaz on the supply of electric buses for testing in 2022, the company's general director Sergei Kogogin said, Trend reports via Turkmenportal.

"We intend to make a supply to Turkmenistan for testing, as the modern city of Ashgabat City will be built," he said.

Turkmenistan is a significant market for KAMAZ products. KAMAZ has delivered over 11,000 vehicles to Turkmenistan to date, 2,000 of which have been delivered in the last three years. KAMAZ special equipment is used on Turkmenistan's largest construction sites.

Earlier this November, KAMAZ opened a training and service center in Turkmenbashi. It is also planned to implement projects for the construction of KAMAZ auto centers in three more Turkmen regions. After construction is completed, similar service centers will be put into operation in the regions of Lebap, Mary, and Dashoguz.

Kamaz, Russia's largest company, is one of the world's top twenty truck manufacturers. Trucks, trailers, buses, engines, and power units are all manufactured by the company.
