Minimal Salaries to be Repeatedly Increased in   Azerbaijan

Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend U.Ismaylova / The Head of the Social Protection Fund of Azerbaijan, Salim Muslimov , stated that the 2007 plans for the Fund include repeatedly increasing the minimal salaries and labor pensions.

According to Muslimov , whilst devising the 2007 State budget, proposals were made to spend the finances obtained from the exportation of hydrocarbons on the social sphere.

A certain part of the budget has been directed towards resolving social problems and it will assist in the decreasing of poverty, improving the financial situation within the population and raising the level of education and health of the Country.

Muslimov stated that in order to improve the social situation of the population, nearly ten medical institutions will be put into operation in various districts of Azerbaijan by the end of the year and a center for kidney transmission will be opened in Baku. The draft law on the development of resorts has been devised and presented.
