Minister: Turkey to construct power plant in Saudi Arabia

Turkey will construct a power plant in Saudi Arabia, Minister of Science, Industry and Technology Nihat Ergun said, Sabah newspaper reported on Monday.

According to him, the Saudi Arabian government appealed to Turkey for the construction of a power plant.

He also stressed the construction of a new power plant will contribute to the development of Saudi Arabia's energy sphere.

The minister also said that Turkey is able to compete with transnational energy companies in this sphere.

According to Ergun, the total cost of the construction project has not yet been announced.
