Russia, UK buy oil products from Turkmenistan

Fourty-five deals were registered at the State Commodity and Raw Materials Exchange of Turkmenistan last week, the state-run exchange said in a message June 11.

Entrepreneurs from Russia, Switzerland, the UK, the UAE, Turkey and Afghanistan purchased polypropylene, gasoline, hydrotreated diesel fuel and calcined petroleum coke produced at the Turkmenbashi Complex of Oil Refineries, as well as diesel fuel and oil road bitumen produced at the Seydi oil refinery.

Businessmen from Switzerland bought urea, while entrepreneurs from Russia, the UAE, Afghanistan and Uzbekistan purchased electronic equipment and computer components, cotton yarn and Portland cement.

The total price of the deals exceeded $96.043 million.

Businesses and organizations of all ownership forms, residents of Turkmenistan and other countries can participate in the exchange trading by acquisition of a broker place or by signing service contracts with exchange brokers.

Petrochemicals, cotton fiber, local textile and chemical products are the main exports.
