BAKU, Azerbaijan, January 19. The volume of cargo loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port of the Bushehr Province (southern Iran) decreased by 20.7 percent in the 9th month of the current Iranian year (November 22 through December 21, 2022), compared to the same month last Iranian year, Trend reports via the statistics of Iranian Ports and Maritime Organization (PMO).
According to the statistics, over 312,000 tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in this port over the reporting month. Of this, 175,000 tons were loaded and about 137,000 tons were unloaded.
During the 9th month, about 167,000 tons of cargo were exported and about 50,900 tons were imported through the Bushehr port.
In addition, 116 tons of cargo were loaded and 78 tons were unloaded in the port for transit.
At the same time, 6,230 tons of cargo were loaded and 85,700 tons were unloaded for cabotage in the 9th month.
Furthermore, 2,040 tons of cargo were loaded and 55 tons were unloaded in the port for other purposes.
Some 13,600 tons of essential products, 708 tons of metal products, 150,000 tons of construction and mining materials, and 2,060 tons of equipment, vehicles, and spare parts were loaded and unloaded in the Bushehr port in the 9th month of the current Iranian year.
Moreover, 26 tons of chemicals, 2,080 tons of leather goods, clothing, fibers, paper, and wood materials, 1,600 tons of small and assorted goods, 37,700 tons of container products, and 104,000 tons of crude oil and oil products were loaded and unloaded in this port within the mentioned period.
In general, approximately 12 million tons of cargo were loaded and unloaded in Iranian ports in the 9th month of the current Iranian year. Of this, 6.6 million tons were loaded and 5.4 million tons were unloaded. This is a decrease of 8.1 percent compared to the same month last Iranian year.
