BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 3. The Ministry of Agriculture of Tajikistan published today an update on the total volume of wheat harvest, Trend reports citing the Ministry's press service.

According to the Ministry, as of September 30, 2022, the volume of wheat harvested in Tajikistan amounted to 714,546 tons.

"The indicator of wheat yield in Sughd region is 35 centners per hectare, in Khatlon region - 36 centners, in Dushanbe - 26 centners per hectare, and in districts under central government jurisdiction - 27.7 centners per hectare," the message said.

The Ministry also noted that the total volume of harvested grain crops throughout the country as of September 30 amounted to 896,241 tons.

Meanwhile, the last year's wheat harvest in Tajikistan amounted to 864,000 tons. This year the harvest is expected at a level of 917,000 tons.
