Iran nabs IS members near capital Tehran

Iranian security forces have arrested members of the “Islamic State” (aka IS, ISIS, ISIL or Daesh) terrorist group in the outskirts of capital city of Tehran.
Mohammad-Jafar Montazeri, the attorney general of Iran, has said that “a group of Daesh forces” was arrested near Tehran over the past several days, Mehr news agency reported.
According to the official, the IS members had a plan to target rallies marking the anniversary of Iran’s 1979 Revolution on Feb. 10.
He declined to unveil further information on the development, but vowed to brief the public on the operation’s details in near future.
