As part of operations carried out in February against the Kurdistan Workers’ Party (PKK) terrorist group, 93 PKK militants were eliminated in Turkey, Trend reports with reference to the press service of the Turkish Interior Ministry.
Among the eliminated militants, there were especially dangerous terrorists who organized attack on military units in Turkey.
The conflict between Turkey and the PKK, which demands the creation of an independent Kurdish state, has lasted more than 25 years, claiming more than 40,000 lives. The PKK is recognized as a terrorist organization by the UN and the EU.
