Azerbaijani wrestlers win two gold medals at Youth Olympic Games (PHOTO)

Two Azerbaijani freestyle wrestlers won gold medals at the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games in Nanjing, China, Azerbaijani Wrestling Federation told Trend Aug. 27.

Teymur Mammadov, who was competing in the weight class up to 63 kg, reached the finals defeating wrestlers from Georgia, South Africa and Palau.

He won a gold medal defeating a Finnish athlete in the finals.

Igbal Hajizadeh, competing in the weight class up to 100 kg, defeated athletes from Mexico, Egypt and Brazil, and reached the finals.

In the finals he defeated a Moldovan wrestler, and thus won a gold medal.

Earlier Azerbaijani wrestlers won one gold medal and two silver medals at the 2nd Summer Youth Olympic Games.

Islambek Dadov (Greco-Roman style, weight class up to 69 kg) won a gold medal, while Jabbar Najafov (Greco-Roman style, 50 kg) and Leyla Gurbanova (women's wrestling, 52 kg) won silver medals.
