The Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan makes amendments to the legislation with regard to the decision of the Tariff Council, under which the rates on utility services in the country were changed since December 1, 2011.
The fee for waste transportation and disposal at houses within state housing funds was abolished by the Azerbaijani Cabinet of Ministers on Friday.
The appropriate changes were made to the Cabinet of Ministers' decision on "Payments for the use of living area and tariffs for housing and communal services in houses of the state and public housing fund."
It is a consequence of the decision of the Tariff Council of Azerbaijan, according to which the rates for the collection and transportation of municipal solid waste for the population per capita rose to 0.3 manat per month, and for other groups to 10 manat for one cubic meter since December 1, 2011, the Ministry of Economic Development told Trend on Friday.
Fees for disposal of one cubic meter of waste approved at 1.2 manat.
Previously the payment for household waste transportation and disposal was 0.14 manat per person per month. Rates for the disposal of waste didn't exist.
