An Azerbaijani court did not granted appeals of the imprisoned bloggers Emin Milli and Adnan Hajizade on court staff.
The Baku Appeal Court did not grant the blogger's lawyers' a protest appeal on the court staff. The Baku Appeal Court Judge regarded the appeal groundless and did not grant it.
The trial process to consider appeals of the bloggers was postponed to March 10 in connection with the lawyers' petition.
Milli and Hajizade were accused of Article 221.2.1 (On Hooliganism) and Article 127.2.3 (deliberately causing minor harm) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The Baku Sabayel District Court sentenced Milli to two years and six months in prison and Adnan Hajizadeh to two years in prison Nov. 11.
