Ambassador: Azerbaijan, Kuwait develop public relations
Azerbaijani Ambassador to Kuwait Shahin Abdullayev told Kuwait news agency KUNA that political relations between the countries are "excellent" and governments of the two countries will intensify the development of public relations.
On the background of the State Committee for Family Problems, Women and Children Head Hijran Huseynova's visit to Kuwait, the Azerbaijani ambassador pointed out that bilateral agreements on cooperation were signed between the two governments in the social sphere.
The current visit of the Azerbaijani delegation to Kuwait is one of the sides of the bilateral cooperation in the field of public relations and in particular on women issues, Abdullayev said, adding that, Azerbaijan attaches great importance to social issues, since the first parliament of the country allowed women to stand for election in 1918.
The ambassador expressed hope for the Kuwaiti Committee for Family, Children and Women Head Sheikha Latifa Al-Fahad Al-Sabah's return visit to Azerbaijan.
During the meeting the head of the Azerbaijani Committee Huseynova will sign an agreement on cooperation on the basis of bilateral agreements on public and social issues with Kuwaiti counterpart, the agency said.
Huseynova's visit will end on Jan.26.
