Three Azerbaijani wrestlers won the final stage of the Golden Grand Prix in Baku

In Baku, at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex at the final stage of the Golden Grand Prix dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, become known names of winners of the competition in freestyle wrestling.
Three Azerbaijani wrestlers won the final stage of the Golden Grand Prix in Baku

In Baku, at the Heydar Aliyev Sports and Concert Complex at the final stage of the Golden Grand Prix dedicated to the memory of National Leader Heydar Aliyev, become known names of winners of the competition in freestyle wrestling on Friday.

Azerbaijani sportsmen won on the first day of the tournament three gold, two silver and three bronze medals.

At the highest step of the podium went Jabrail Hasanov (66 kg), Novruz Temrezov (84 kg) and Khetag Gazyumov (96 kg). Hasanov on the way to championship won Japanese Takafumi Kojima, Uzbek Ihtior Navruzov, American Brent Harold Metcalf, and in the final another Azerbaijani wrestler Emin Azizov.

Temrezov proved stronger than the Georgians Archil Gitiashvili and Becky Chelidze, teammate Sharif Sharifov, and in the decisive battle overcame American Jacob Herbert.

Gazyumov won Iranian Jafar Alidad Daliri, Georgian George Gogshelidze and another representative of Azerbaijan Jamaleddin Magomedov in the final.

Silver medals were awarded above Azizov and Magomedov, and bronze went to Chamsulvara Chamsulvarayev (74 kg), Sharif Sharifov (84 kg) and Ali Isayev (120 kg).
