The final of "Eurovision-2013" song contest began on Saturday in the Swedish city of Malmö.
The representative of Azerbaijan at "Eurovision-2013" song contest Farid Mammadov has performed at number 20.
The contest song of Farid Mammadov "Hold Me" is written by Dimitris Kontopoulos, the author of Eurovision songs for Ani Lorak, Sakis Rouvas, Anastasia Stotsky, as well as of more than 25 top hits Greece's national charts. The lyrics are written by John Ballard and Ralph Charlie.
Farid Mammadov performed with two dancers who represent symbolic images. One of these images embodied a professional dancer of Russia Alexander Kuzmenko. The presentation for Azerbaijan is prepared by choreographer Fokas Evangelinos who had worked with many of the winners.
The representative of Azerbaijan is among favorites this year. The performance and manner of performance of Farid Mammadov are estimated much higher than performances of other participants.
The representatives of 26 countries are fighting for the victory in the contest. The two semi-finals were held on May 14 and May 16.
The winner of the contest "Eurovision-2013" will be determined by the jury of 39 countries and televiewers.
The jury of the participating countries in the contest on Friday have already defined their votes in favor of the participants in the final. Today after the presentation of last participant there will be a voting of viewers for 15 minutes.
Azerbaijani viewers, as well as the viewers of all the countries participating in the final, are able to vote for their favorite song by sending the number of the participant by SMS to the number 9450. Azerbaijan will announce its votes for the participants from other countries at number 13.
