BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 19. Students at the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University branch in Baku have been producing remarkable outcomes, Russian Health Minister Mikhail Murashko told reporters during a visit to the training-simulation center at the university, Trend reports.

“This year marked the fourth graduation of the Baku branch of I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University. The training here is conducted at a high level, and the results are impressive: more than 30 percent of the graduates received red diplomas. This reflects the high quality of education. Moscow professors evaluate the training quality,” he noted.

Murashko highlighted that the assessment methods used are identical to those in Moscow. Visiting the classrooms, one feels like they've stepped into a whole different ballgame, as if they are at a university in Moscow, given the top-notch level of organization.

“The professoriate at the branch includes many excellent specialists. They expand the opportunities for nursing staff by engaging graduates from other universities for accreditation,” the minister added.

According to him, even if a specialist comes across a needle in a haystack in practice, they will be prepared to handle it, as they have already honed their skills using dummies and training gear that faithfully recreate such scenarios.

The Baku branch of the I. M. Sechenov First Moscow State Medical University was established in 2015. Training is provided by leading professors at the university in two programs: General medicine (125 places, six-year course) and the master’s program in the Pharmaceutical industry (10 places, two-year course). Sechenov University is an accredited institution in Azerbaijan that awards diplomas to its graduates.
