BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Azerbaijani PASHA Bank became the first bank in 2018, which began to seriously invest in its cybersecurity, Executive Board member of PASHA Bank Jalal Orujov told Trend.

According to him, PASHA Bank has a large system that ensures information cybersecurity, including the introduction of a system against fraud.

"Investments in this area are continuing today. We have a special team that monitors and prevents cybersecurity. It is very easy to prevent these attacks, but this trend remains active today, and the number of such attacks grows each year,” Orujov said.

Orujov also emphasized that security is at the forefront in the development of channels paid by all payment systems, including banks.

"All banks that issue bank cards in different formats, serve Apple Pay and Google Pay, annually conduct international audits of payment systems, where all physical information and cybersecurity are protected.”

Orujov also noted that one of the most active types of fraud is social engineering (telephone fraud).

"Fraudsters make phone calls and try to get bank data. All banks are focused on enlightening their customers so that they did not transfer their bank data. No bank asks its customers for the card number, security code (CVV), and also the code from the SMS message,” Orujov added.
