BAKU, Azerbaijan, October 26. International Bank of Azerbaijan (IBA) issued business loans in the amount of more than 1 billion manat ($588.2 million), Director of the Corporate Business Department at IBA Ulvi Gasimov told the press service of IBA, Trend reports on October 26.

"IBA issued business loans in the amount of 1.56 billion manat ($917 million) from January through September 2022. Almost all the loans that Bank provided this year were reserved for financing projects related to the non-oil sector," he said.

According to Gasimov, this year the IBA financed mainly projects related to production, agriculture, transport, trade and construction.

"In addition, 998 new accounts of legal entities were opened in the IBA in the first nine months of this year, and the total number of accounts reached 14,832. The number of individual entrepreneurs' accounts in the bank increased by 8,758 to 76,262 from January through September," he added.
