Kazakhstan reduces risk at multiple CHPs through tougher energy controls

Deputy Minister of Energy of Kazakhstan Sungat Yessimkhanov reported improvements in the heating sector during the past season, with 9 combined heat and power plants moving from high to moderate risk zones, and 3 to low risk. This progress was due to enhanced oversight, including 472 inspections, fines, new qualification tests for energy enterprise leaders, and stricter legislation.
