Kazakhstan reports drastic increase in housing sales

The number of purchases and sales of real estate in Kazakhstan amounted to 62,678 transactions over the period from January through February 2021, which is 59.6 percent less than during the same period of 2020, Trend reports with reference to Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.

The total number of buy/sell transactions implemented in Kazakhstan in Feb. 2021 amounted to 41,1010 transactions which are 90.5 percent more than in Jan. 2021 and 78.9 percent less than during the same month of 2020.

The largest number of transactions was observed in Mangystau region where it amounted to 6,639 transactions, which is 6.9 times more than in Jan. 2021 and Feb. 2020.

Mangystau is followed by Nur-Sultan city with 6,579 transactions, which is 2.1 times more than during Jan. 2021 and in Feb. 2020.

Almaty city takes third place (5,570 transactions in Feb. 2021), showing a 46.1-percent increase compared to Jan. 2021 and a 31.2-percent increase compared to Feb. 2020.

The least number of purchases and sale of housing transactions during Feb. 2021 was observed in the North Kazakhstan region (523 transactions, increase by 16 percent compared to Jan. 2021 and decrease by 18.2 percent compared to Feb. 2020).
