Uzbek Uztransgaz, a national gas supplier, will raise thetariffs for people by 10 percent beginning from April 1, the press office of the company said on March 17.
The new tariffs register has been approved by Uzbek Finance Ministry on March 16.
For citizens having a gas meter, cost of 10 cubic meters of the natural gas will be 2897.4 soums instead of current 2634 soums, what makes a 10-percent increase.
For those without a gas meter, cost of the natural gas used for cooking and water heating will be 5010.6 soums (currently 4555.9 soums, a 9.9-percent increase), for the gas used for heating – 2323.7 soums (currently 2112.45 soums, a 10-percent increase).
The gas and other utility tariffs were last increased in Uzbekistan in July 2017.
