Gas distribution network inaugurated in Georgia

A gas distribution network has been inaugurated in the Nigosa village of the Kaspi municipality in the region of Shida Kartli of Georgia, Trend reports citing the Georgian gas Transportation Company.

The ceremony was attended by President of state oil company of Azerbaijan Rovnag Abdullayev, Director General of Georgian Gas Transportation Company Jaba Khmaladze, Kaspi Municipality Mayor Manuchar Merebashvili, as well as by the management of SOCAR Energy Georgia and SOCAR Georgia Gas, SOCAR told Trend.

The gas pipeline in the village of Nigosa was built by order of the Georgian Gas Transportation Company. This network with a length of over 3,000 meters will be operated by SOCAR Georgia Gas. As a result, 90 families in the village of Nigosa were provided with gas. Currently, 89,300 families in the Shida Kartli region have access to gas.

According to the government's three-year gas supply plan for 2019-2021, it is planned to supply gas to six villages in the Shida Kartli region. A gas pipeline with a length of 110,622 meters will be laid and 1.45 million lari will be spent on these works from the state budget.
