Chinese Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline, Uzbekneftegaz define new areas for co-op

Chinese Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline (TAPLine) and Uzbekneftegaz JSC have identified new areas of cooperation, Trend reports with reference to the press service of Uzbekneftegaz JSC.

It is reported that an online meeting of the Deputy Chairman of the Management Board of Uzbekneftegaz JSC Ulugbek Ashurov with the Chairman of the Board of Directors of TAPLine Fan Chun Meng and Vice President Jin Qingguo was held on February 10.

The parties discussed in detail the implementation of joint projects, in particular, the tasks facing the joint venture Asia Trans Gas LLC and monitoring their implementation.

The parties noted that despite the global coronavirus pandemic and related restrictions, the implementation of project activities did not stop, and all planned work was completed on time.

In addition, the sides emphasized the important role of cooperation in the implementation of strategic projects in the region, as well as hope for further expansion of bilateral mutually beneficial cooperation.

Trans-Asia Gas Pipeline Company Limited (TAPLine) is a subsidiary of the state company China National Petroleum Corporation, and also a co-founder of the joint venture Asia Trans Gas LLC. The Company forms joint ventures with Kazakhstan and Uzbekistan in order to complete a Central Asia natural gas pipeline.
