The demercaptanization unit of the 2nd refinery of Iran’s South Pars Gas Company (SPGC) will be put into operation in the 7th month of the current Iranian year (September 23 through October 22, 2021), an official of the Pars Oil and Gas Company (POGC) Sirus Peykar said, Trend reports citing POGC’s website.
According to the official, there is currently 91.2 percent physical progress in the construction of this unit.
Peykar added that the unit is able to sweeten 80,000 barrels of gas condensate daily.
“Given that this refining will increase revenue from each barrel of gas condensate by $4, funds spent on the construction of the unit will be received in less than 1 year,” he said.
As reported, Iran's South Pars Gas Company has 12 refineries. The company can supply about 700 million cubic meters of gas consumption in the country.
