Uzbekistan increases production of gasoline

BAKU, Azerbaijan, Sept. 20

Uzbekistan produced 729,400 tons of gasoline for eight months of 2021, which is 5.1 percent more than in the same period last year, Trend reports citing the State Statistics Committee of Uzbekistan.

Most fuels for eight months were produced in March (106,000 tons), and the least in April (77,300 tons).

Note that Uzbekistan also covers the need for gasoline through imports. From January through July, 274.6 million liters were imported. The main suppliers were Russia (136.5 million liters), Turkmenistan (116.3 million liters), and Kazakhstan (15.6 million liters).

Moreover, from January through August 2021, 2,577 trucks were produced in the country (the production volume increased by 1.3 percent compared to the corresponding period of 2020).

During the reporting period, 602 buses were produced in Uzbekistan, an increase in production amounted to 21.1 percent).

On the other hand, there was a 44.2 percent decrease in the production of automotive engines- only 86,200.

The decrease was also noticed in production tractors (-72.5 percent). Only 173 units were produced in the country from January through August 2021.

Regarding automotive industry, during the reporting period 36,667 Cobalt cars were produced (-29.8 percent), 14.619 - Nexia (-68.8 percent), 26.268 - Gentra (-25.3 percent), 37.552 - Damas (+ 6.3 percent), 6.485 - Spark (-64.5 percent) and 8.857 - Labo (+ 66.2 percent).
