BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 20. The CPC (Caspian Pipeline Consortium) marine terminal in Kazakhstan can start working at full capacity by the end of this week, the country’s Energy Minister Bolat Akchulakov told reporters, Trend reports via Kazakh media.

“We mean full commissioning of two SPMs (single port moorings), and the third, reserve SPM will be repaired. Therefore it’s enough to commission these two SPMs to ensure the terminal's work at 100 percent capacity," Akchulakov said.

After a temporary decline in oil production in April, some companies have expressed intention to boost oil exports via the CPC in May.

Tengizchevroil shared its plans to pump 650,000 barrels of oil per day (b/d) through the CPC in May, which is an increase of 16 percent.

Karachaganak Petroleum Operating will increase the exports by 15 percent - up to 230,000 b/d.

North Caspian Operating Company plans to reduce oil exports by almost 20 percent - to 336,000 b/d.

The decline in production at the Kashagan project will be reduced due to a planned overhaul from June 1 to July 2022.
