BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 28. The International Bank of Azerbaijan took first place in terms of total assets among Azerbaijani banks according to the results of the first quarter of 2023, Trend reports.
According to the bank's financial report, the volume of the total assets for the reporting period amounted to 11.5 billion manat ($6.8 billion).
PASHA Bank took the second spot with a total 8.6 billion manat ($5 billion). Kapital Bank is in third place with total assets of 7.2 billion manat ($4.2 billion).
The total assets of the first three banks amounted to 27.9 billion manat ($16.4 billion), or 74.22 percent of the total assets of the 10 banks of Azerbaijan (37.7 billion manat or $22.1 billion).

According to the Central Bank of Azerbaijan, the net profit of the banking sector as of March 31, 2023, increased by 94 million manat ($55.2 million), or 54.05 percent compared to the same period in 2022 - from 173.9 million ($102 million) to 267.9 million manat ($157.5 million).
The total assets of banks amounted to 44.8 billion manat ($26.3 billion) as of April 1, 2023, in Azerbaijan.
