International Conference on Regional Innovation Zones to be Held in Baku

Azerbaijan, Baku / Trend corr. S.Babayeva / The International Conference Regional Innovation Zones: Problems and Decisions will be held within the framework of the 13th Azerbaijani International Exhibition of Telecommunications and Information Technology - BakuTel 2007, The Azerbaijani Communication and IT Ministry reported.

The Conference will function on four sections, Information-communication technology: state policy and regulation, Regional Information Zones: role of economic development, Human capital and development of education in informative community, Electron government and electron management.

Heads of communication administrations from the US, Europe, CIS and Asia have been invited to participate at the conference.

Iteca Caspian reported that the world telecommunication organizations, including World Information Technology Union, Regional Commonwealth in Communication Sphere, and Global Alliance on information technology and development of UN would support the exhibition, which is planned to be held at the Heydar Aliyev Sport Exhibition Complex on 14 to 17 September.

Companies BakuTel, Cisco, Hewlett Packard, Microsoft will also attend at the conference.
