Use of electronic state services in Azerbaijan grows

The Electronic Government Development Center, subordinate to the State Agency for Public Service and Social Innovations under the President of Azerbaijan (ASAN Service) provides electronic services to the population in many directions, ASAN Service told Trend.

According to ASAN Service, the level of use of these services and the trend towards digitalization, for obvious reasons, have grown over the past year.

If to consider the most frequently used services on the ‘myGov’e-government portal, then appeals related to work, family structure, fines, personal data and appeals related to the place of residence prevail.

On the eGov portal, about half of all applications are for online acceptance of applications related to customs, employment contracts, targeted social assistance, test exams, online acceptance of applications for applicants for entrance exams for a bachelor's degree, residency, said the report.

Payments related mainly to traffic violations, payment of fines for administrative violations, powers of attorney, replenishment of the SEC's personal account, and payments for electronic trading prevail on the Asanpay.az portal, the state agency said.

The aim of the Electronic Government Development Center is to ensure the availability of public services in Azerbaijan.

“The development of any sphere requires constant cooperation and exchange of experience. Digitalization and construction of e-government are no exception. Taking this into account, the Center attaches great importance to establishing relationships, exchanging views, and experience in its activities. From this point of view, quite effective cooperation has been established with Turkey, South Korea. , Belarus, and Estonia. We share our experience and achievements with our partners, as well as deeply research their innovative ideas," the agency said.

The register of public services - the dxr.az portal was created to register public services. The portal contains more than 750 types of services provided by 132 government agencies. Over half of these services are already electronic. Practical work is underway to digitize other services.
