Samsung's Super Slim .74mm LCD

( mobilemag ) - There's got to be some point where Samsung will realize they've hit diminishing returns, but I guess they aren't quite ready to get off the weight loss regime. Samsung Electronics has just unveiled what they call the world's thinnest LCD display. At just 0.74mm of thickness, I wouldn't deny it. After all, they held the previous record of 0.82mm just a short while back.

Based on our experience, Samsung will most likely want to plunk these into their next generation of Ultra Edition cell phones, shaving down precious millimeters on their girth as well. And in case you're wondering, the current Ultra Edition slim phones rock 1.9mm thick displays. Could the Ultra Edition 4.7 be far behind?
