Kazakhstan, Astana, August 28 / Trend D. Mukhtarov/

International experts are considering two scenarios of economic development for Kazakhstan, the Baiterek National Managing Holding press service reported on Wednesday.

According to the first scenario, growth in the extractive industry and infrastructure including transport, communication, the oil and gas industry and mining in Kazakhstan's GDP will be the basis for overall economic growth, a statement of JSC said prior to the first meeting of the Managing Committee.

According to the second scenario, Kazakhstan can follow the example of the United Arab Emirates and Saudi Arabia which due to abundant resources, began to develop the service sector and manufacturing industry.

According to experts, Kazakhstan can diversify its economy towards increasing its share of services in GDP.

By their estimates, according to the second scenario, the GDP growth will increase by six or eight percentage points in seven years.

The increase in GDP growth from four to 7.3 per cent will require an increase of investments from $107 to 125 billion.
