BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, July 11. Most gas stations across the capital of Kyrgyzstan, Bishkek, have reduced the prices of diesel fuel, Trend reports.
As of August 10, diesel prices at “Bishkek Petroleum” gas stations in Bishkek amounted to 63.6 soms ($0.723) per liter.
This downward trend was also recorded at “Partner Neft” gas stations, where the cost of diesel fuel was equal to the aforementioned figure. Meanwhile, the diesel price at “Partner Neft” was reported at 63.5 soms ($0.722), as of August 3.
Within the network of "Gazprom Neft" gas stations, diesel fuel was available at 64 soms ($0.728) per liter. A slightly higher price of 65.4 soms ($0.744) for diesel fuel was indicated at “Red Petroleum” gas stations.
However, the highest price for diesel fuel within the city was observed at the "Rosneft" gas station chain, reaching around 69.9 soms ($0.795) per liter.
Earlier, during a meeting between Kamchybek Tashiev, the head of the State Committee for National Security of Kyrgyzstan, and oil traders, concerns were raised about the inflated prices of diesel fuel. Tashiev proposed that the traders reconsider their pricing strategy and implement a cap of around 63-64 soms ($0.716 - $0.728) per liter.
