Tehran, Iran, June 11

Iran is saying goodbye to negative industrial growth, according to Deputy Minister of Industry, Mine, and Trade Mohsen Salehinia who says the negative growth disappeared in the first three months of the current Iranian fiscal year (since March 20).
Measures are being carried out to lift 7,500 to 10,000 small to mid-size industrial units out of their recession, he told Mehr news agency June 11.
He said factories in steel, domestic appliances, parts, and automotive sectors have had desirable growth rates in the meantime.
Iran's government plans to revive 9,000 small industrial units in the current Iranian year, said Deputy Minister of Industry Ali Yazdani in April.
Educating staff at industrial units is one of the programs on agenda for this year, whereby 100,000 people in small industrial units are planned to be trained, Yazdani explained.
