Georgia remains as a country with transitional democracy according to the annual report of Freedom House.
The U.S. based human rights organization presented the report on the state of democracy in 29 countries, located in the territory of the former Soviet Union, the Balkans and Central Europe at its headquarters in the United States on June 12.
The authors of the "Nations in Transit 2014: Russia Leads Eurasia's Break from the Democratic World" believe that Georgia remains an emerging democracy.
The report shows a new decline in the average level of democracy in 2013, as it has happened every year for the past decade. Ratings of the 16 countries decreased, five - have improved, eight countries had no change, and six of the countries belong to the category of transitional democracy.
