The Russian and North Ossetian sides accepted South Ossetian leader's proposal, according to the South Ossetian Press and Information Committee.

Any dialogue among the JCC co-chairmen is useful, RIA Novosti news agency quoted Russian chief negotiator Yuri Popov as saying.

But Georgian State Minister for Conflict Resolution Issues Merab Antadze will not attend the meeting, as he is leaving for the United States.

A session of the Joint Control Commission scheduled in Tskhinvali for September 15-16 was thwarted after a controversy which was triggered between the Georgian and Ossetian sides about a composition of the Georgian delegation.
