Forum of Black Sea Radio and TV Council Established in Istanbul

Turkey, Ankara, 1 July / Trend corr. T.Aliyev / The meeting of the heads of TV and radio broadcasting organizations of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation (BECO) from twelve countries including Nushirevan Maharramli, Chairman of the Azerbaijani National Television and Radio Broadcasting Council (NTRBC) was completed in Istanbul. The meeting was focused on to create a Forum to develop cooperation and exchange experience in TV and radio broadcasting. This was told Trend from the Turkish Supreme Radio and TV Council.

An agreement on cooperation was achieved as a result of the single document accepted in the meeting. The issues on common cultural and ethnic principles and standards, as well as to hold workshops, exhibitions and conferences in the sphere of freedom of opinion, TV and radio were also touched upon in the meeting.

The heads of twelve countries took a decision to hold regular meetings within the framework of the Forum of Black Sea TV and Radio Broadcasting Council to develop all the aforesaid issues and cooperation as well.

The Turkish Supreme Radio and TV Council will fulfill secretarial duties in the Forum.
