Some 2.8 million tons of cargo were transported from Algeria through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
At the same time, ships under the Turkish flag supplied 109,135 tons of cargo from Algeria to the local ports while ships under the flags of other countries – 1.9 million tons.
During the reporting period, ships flying under the flag of Algeria transported 797,397 tons of cargo to the Turkish ports.
Some 55,718 tons of cargo from Algeria were transited through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.
"Thus, 124.9 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021."
Around 9.8 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the Turkish flag through the local ports. About 115.1 million tons of cargo were transported by ships flying the flags of other countries through the Turkish ports from January through April 2021.
Moreover, 24.5 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports during the reporting period. In general, 33.8 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports in April 2021.
Furthermore, 2.7 million tons of cargo were transported by the ships flying the Turkish flag in April 2021. At the same time, 31.1 million tons of cargo were transported through the Turkish ports by the ships flying the flags of other countries.
Thus, 6.4 million tons of cargo were transited through the Turkish ports in April 2021.
