Turkmenistan, Ashgabat, Dec. 8 / Trend H.Hasanov /

Russian mobile operator MTS in Turkmenistan, where the number of subscribers exceeds two million, fully restored its activity in Ashgabat, the company reported.

In the morning Dec.2 "due to reasons, which don't depend on the "MTS Turkmenistan" the accident occurred at a switching platform, which led to the loss of connection in Ashgabat, MTS said.

The daily fee for the period when the connection is not available or there were technical failures,
of subscribers with the rate plans envisaging the subscription fee will be refunded.

In addition, Ashgabat clients are provided with the compensation package of 100 free minutes in the MTS network (10 minutes daily). The connecting to the package is automatic.

MTS Turkmenistan also presented its sincere apologies for inconvenience, and expressed gratitude for the understanding of the situation."

MTS planned this month to connect its Internet user subscribers to 3G format, but this has not happened yet. The permit is issued by the State Corporation "Turkmentelekom" under the Ministry of Communication of the country, which earlier this year issued a similar 3G license to national operator TM Cell.
