Turkish Defense Minister Ismet Yilmaz, who arrived in Astana on Monday with an aircraft of the Turkish Air Force, was welcomed with an official ceremony by his Kazakh counterpart Adilbek Dzhaksybekov, Anadolu Agency reported.
During his one-day visit Yilmaz will inspect the factory that will produce safety devices for border security in the region, jointly established by Aselsan, a company of Turkish Armed Forces Foundation, and Kazakhstan Engineering.
Meanwhile, Minister Yilmaz will also inaugurate the Astana office of the Turkish Undersecretariat for Defense Industries.
