Azerbaijan, Baku /corr. Trend E.Huseynov / "Trilateral consultations between Azerbaijani, Russian and US experts with regards to the Gabala Radar Station convince us that the USA is interested in further talks on cooperation over a missile defense system," said the Deputy Chief of Headquarters of Russia's Cosmic Troops, Alexander Yakushin, on 18 September as a result of consultations in the Gabala Station.

"The goal of the visit is to introduce the station firstly to US colleagues and experts. We spoke of the appointment, tasks, component and key tactical-technical characteristics of the Station," Yakushin said also adding that the American experts received responses to practically all question asked during the consultations.

"I think that the work done will be grounds to make an accurate decision and prepare agreed material for our States. The station is always ready for battle and resolves all tasks," he said.

He called the consultations productive and very beneficial. According to Yakushin, the consultations provided an opportunity to pass from general discussions and briefings to action.
