Russia Exchanges 12 Georgian Military Men for General Roman Dumbadze Convicted for Parricide

Georgia, Tbilisi, 27 August/ Trend , N. Kirtskhalia/ Russia has exchanged 12 captives of war for General Roman Dumbadze, convicted of parricide. The exchange took place in Ingur bridge, MP Giya Tortladze, participant of the talks said.

General Dumbadze was commander-in-chief of Batumi 25 brigade of Georgian armed forces, but supported the then leader of Adzhariya Aslan Abashidze in a military confrontation with Tbilisi. After exile Dumbadze was sentenced to life imprisonment for parricide.

A total of 2 military men were captures on 18 August in port of Poti during the attack of Russian occupiers.
