The officers of the Azerbaijani interior ministry have rendered harmless the gang engaged in petrol theft in Baku.
The officers of the Interior Ministry Central Department on Combating Organized Crime arrested the residents of Baku the Head of the Kompaniya FF LLC Fikrat Gasimov, his brother Farhad Gasimov, the resident of the Terter region Driver Khanlar Guliyev and other people being in a criminal conspiracy, the Press Secretary of the Interior Ministry, Ehsan Zahidov told Trend on Sept. 1. The ministry's operation and search measures revealed that they stole petrol by laying an underground pipeline which has been connected with the ready product storage of the Heydar Aliyev Baku Oil Refinery Plant's production unity.
Zahidov said they sold the AI-95 petrol by stealing it via the underground pipelines.
The Investigation Bureau of the Interior Ministry Central Department on Combating Organized Crime filed a suit on this case in accordance with the Article 177.3.3 (theft) of the Azerbaijani Criminal Code.
The spokesman of the ministry said they continue operation and search measures to detain other members of the criminal gang.
