The Azerbaijani Parliament has adopted on Tuesday a Law on ratification of the Convention on Road Signs and Signals.
"Azerbaijan brings its roads and highways line into conformity with the world standards each year. Theretofore, the traffic signs should be equated to the international standards," Parliamentary Economic Policy Committee Deputy Chairman Chingiz Asadullayev said.
MP Siyavush Novruzov noted that Azerbaijan adopted many provisions regulating signs, but, nevertheless, "we are faced with the failure of these rules in practice".
In addition, the parliament approved amendment to the Statutes of the service in the Azerbaijani internal interior ministry, amendments to the Criminal Procedure Code and the Administrative Violations Code of Azerbaijan.
