Azerbaijan, Baku, May 4 / Trend T.Hajiyev /
Adalat Party Chairman Ilyas Ismayilov said the leaders of some opposition parties represented in the Azerbaijani parliament decided to unite in one group.
The leaders of the Civic Unity Party, Great Establishment Party, Popular Front Party of Unified Azerbaijan and Adalat Party decided to create a "group of opposition MPs", he told Trend.
The activities of the group are not directed against other associations and were created to coordinate the activities of opposition parties represented in the parliament.
"We do not oppose other associations. We oppose the emergence of civil conflict in Azerbaijan and holding rallies in unauthorized places. We noted that other political organizations respecting the Azerbaijani law must hold rallies only in areas permitted by law. We also stand for release of persons arrested for participation in rallies," he said.
He said representatives of other opposition parties represented in the parliament will be invited to join their group.
