According to the decision of the Cabinet of Ministers of Iran, the number of the ministries in the country has been reduced from 21 to 17.

Larijani also said that the ministers should continue their job and the administration should submit a bill to the Majlis for the merger of ministries.

Iranian President's deputy for parliamentary affairs Mohammad Mirtajaddini said that there is not need for voting in the Parliament in connection with the changes in the structures of the ministries.
